Folsom is diverse, beautiful, has it's own enormous 18 mile lake, Lake Natoma with 499 acres, and the famous 60 mile Folsom Johnny Cash Trail and overpass bridge and unprecedented scenic views of Folsom Dam and Lake Natoma. Artwork was vetted by the Cash family and a panel of artists. Installation of 8 art pieces to be designate boasts an $8 million dollar budget campaign. Definitely a bucket list destination to experience.

Cultural events and performances provide even more activities to choose from. The Harris Center, located on the campus of Folsom Lake Community College, offers performances by the Folsom Lake Symphony, as well as visiting Broadway productions and musical events.
Folsom is truly “Distinctive by Nature.” Residents can kayak on Lake Natoma, boat on Folsom Lake, hike or bike on numerous trails, and enjoy the wildlife that lives in this beautiful area. A wide variety of birds and animals reside in the open spaces.
Folsom is on the Pacific Flyway for waterfowl and other avian species. Bald eagles, once an endangered species, are increasing in number and migrate along the American River in the spring and fall. Redtail, Cooper’s, and Swainson’s hawks and small falcons hunt in the fields year-round. Deer, jackrabbits and other wildlife frequent Folsom’s many greenbelt areas and open spaces. Seeing a magnificent animal while jogging, walking, or biking along a Folsom trail makes a memory for a lifetime.
With more than 230 sunny days a year on average and so many recreational opportunities, it is no wonder Folsom residents spend so much of their time outdoors.
